
MUMBAI, JANUARY 17: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation has increased the fares under its Travel Wherever You Like in Maharashtra8217; scheme. The revised fares will come into force with immediate effect.MSRTC8217;s scheme is aimed at promoting tourism in interiors of Maharashtra and encourage citizens to travel in the state transport buses. Under the one-year-long scheme launched on July 1, 1998 the commuters can travel in ordinary as well as semi-luxury buses at a concessional rate. The state transport corporation issues a season ticket for a period of 10 days under the scheme.
The revised rates are as follows: Travel by ordinary bus will cost Rs 470 for a week and Rs 675 for 10 days while commuting by semi-luxury buses 8211; Rs 580 for a week and Rs 830 for 10 days.
There will be a special concession for children as well: they will get to travel in an ordinary bus for Rs 335 and in semi-luxury bus Rs 415 for 10 days.
