CHENNAI, DECEMBER 22: An unidentified gang stoned the house of Chennai Corporation's Standing Committee (Accounts and Audit) chairman and TMC councillor S Narayanan in Nungambakkam in Chennai on Wednesday.This comes close on the heels of the TMC-led Opposition's dharna in the Corporation Council over issues in which they differed with the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).Narayanan alleged that local DMK functionaries were behind the attack. The attack on Narayanan's house was carried out after he proceeded to the Corporation to attend the Council meeting.According to Narayanan, a 20-member gang came to his house at around 11.30 am and pelted stones at his house breaking the window panes. Narayanan's wife, daughter and grandsons, who were in the house, moved to safer places in the house to avoid being hit. The gang, according to Narayanan, pelted stones for 10 minutes and left the scene. The stones broke the window panes no one was hurt, he added.
