Tiwary Surgery later this week

Manoj Tiwary, who has been advised to undergo arthroscopic surgery of the injured shoulder, returned to Kolkata this morning. It was learnt that Tiwary will fly back to Mumbai again later this week to get the surgery done. He was compelled to rush down to Kolkata to attend to his ailing father.

Meanwhile, VVS Laxman and VRV Singh arrived in the city this evening ahead of their departure for Bangladesh tomorrow afternoon for the two-match Test series starting May 18. Sachin Tendulkar will reach Kolkata tomorrow morning, before the players, accompanied by Sourav Ganguly, will set off for Bangladesh by the afternoon flight.
