
HISAR, Dec 13: O.P. Jindal, President Haryana Sarvjati Morcha (HSM) today gave a call to the people of Haryana to join hands with their outfit in order to dislodge the corruption-stricken HVP-BJP rule and also to get rid of three Lals (Bansi, Bhajan and Devi Lal) from the political arena.
Addressing his maiden rally, after formation of his non-poli- tical front, Jindal repented before the public to have supported Bansi Lal. He said,“I am a sinner. I seek your pardon”,and added,“ In fact, we were innocent and failed to pre-judge the evil designs of Bansi Lal and his family members, who minted money during prohibition and promoted corruption in the state.
He lambasted the ruling government for not fulfilling any of the promises made at the time of elections. He said that he resigned from the Haryana Vikas Party (HVP) only because Bansi Lal turned out to be a liar and flatly refused to do anything for the dowtrodden in the state besides stopping grant to the Agroha Medical College. Contrary to his expectation of one lakh crowd during the rally, hardly 8,000 to 10,000 people, a large number of them migrant labourers, turned out at the old government college ground here today. However, Jindal blamed the state government in general and administration in particular to have stopped the rallytrucks from entering the city and depriving his supporters to make it to the venue. The rally was two hours behind schedule because of thick fog and intense cold.
The business tycoon-turned-politician further said that his front once declared political and into power, would work for the welfare of the state and its people without any discrimination against any religion, caste or creed. “The problems of rural people would be on top priority ” , he added. Ashwani chopra, of Hind Samachar Group, who is also the patron of HSM, said that he did the blunder to provide political help first to Devi Lal and then to Bhajan Lal and Bansi Lal, who did nothing but promote nepotism, politics based on caste, creed and corruption in the state respectively. He said that the morcha has been formed to undo the misdeeds of three Lals. Others who spoke included former MP Arvind Sharma and Raghu Yadav, vice president and general secretary, respectively and Mange Ram Sharma, president, Skhil Bharatiya Brahmin Samaj,while prominent among those who attended the rally were Ram Kishan Bairagi, Rajmal Hooda, Nand Kishore, Dhani Ram, Pankaj Mehta and Ram Dayal Goel.
