Three day meet on building material

Build Arch 8217;99 will be an exposition of the new developments in the building industry, state-of-the-art technologies, building materials and the best in architectural innovation, he said, adding that the fundamental problems of the city such as water supply, traffic and other basic amenities will be put into focus at the seminar.

Former vice-president of the BAI Jagdish Parekh said that the lack of co-ordination between the purchaser and the seller had encouraged the interference of middlemen in the deals fixed. 8220;The intermediate parties, naturally, use this as an opportunity to make profits, thus resulting in an increased cost of materials purchased and in turn that of the building. More than 3,000 delegates, including professionals like architects, civil engineers, contractors, interior designers and consultants, from across the country are expected to attend the exhibition.

The proceeds of the entire event will be forwarded towards the KAA8217;as plans to promote a Design Centre at the city and complete the building complex for the Department of Architecture, M S University.
