PUNE, Oct 19: Six persons were injured in three separate dacoities which took place in Wagholi, Chakan and Yerawada areas late on Sunday night. Booty worth over Rs. 72,00 was stolen in the incidents.

Prakash J. Ubale (45) and Lata A. Kawade (28) were injured when seven dacoits targeted their adjoining houses at Ubale Vasti near Wagholi. Cash and ornaments, totally estimated to be worth Rs. 49,200, were taken away.Kushal S. Vanchare, Prakash H. Chavan, Sudhakar T. Udhage and Madhukar T. Katarnavre were injured when a seven-member gang raided their adjoining residences at Kharadi near Yerawada.

Booty estimated to be worth over Rs. 15,000 was taken away when ten men attacked the house of Shankar G. Kapatkar at Kalus village near Chakan. Pune rural police have launched a manhunt to track down the eight men who attacked 15 houses, killed a 70-year-old farmer, left 18 wounded and got away with booty worth over Rs. 2 lakh near Warude village on Friday morning.

The police have prepared computerised sketches of two of the culprits on the basis of the descriptions provided by the victims.
