NEW DELHI, July 31: Vineet Narain, a petitioner in the Jain hawala case, has alleged that the mysterious gentleman who had approached the apex court judges monitoring the case is a non-resident Indian (NRI) businessman Dr Jolly Bansal.
Narain said at a press conference that Bansal had been acting “at the behest of the Jain brothers and had been brought to India to manage the authorities”. When asked if he had any proof of Bansal’s involvement, Narain said he had, but refused to disclose it.
Releasing copies of his submissions to Attorney General Ashok Desai , Narain said that he now intended to bring a contempt of court action against Bansal and the Jain brothers. In his letter to Desai, he has sought his consent to move the Supreme Court for taking appropriate action within 24 hours.
