
PUNE, December 14: On a day of fluctuating fortunes, Vijay Kumar Lucknow won the battle of nerves from Kanpur pro Shiv Prakash to annex the Classic Western India Open at the Poona Club golf course here today.
Vijay who shot a one-under-70 today, totalled 280 strokes, four strokes clear, after 72 holes of par-284, which earned him the winners cheque of Rs 99,960 and his third title of the tour this year.
Mukesh Kumar of Mhow who was two-strokes adrift of Shiv played a par round to aggregate 285 while, Ali Sher with a one under today, finished fourth.
