The new length

From roberto cavalli, Dries Van Noten and Salvatore Ferragamo on the international ramp to designers Gaurav Gupta and Ashish Soni in India, hemlines have slipped just below the knee in most autumn-winter 8217; 07-08 collections. It8217;s not just skirts and dresses, trousers have been cropped to that length too.

This seems to be a welcome change after the shorter lengths that most designers have had in their last few seasons. 8220;The new length is very chic and gives you a slimming look,8221; says designer Nikasha Tawadey. However, don8217;t expect to go comfortable by wearing a pair of flip-flops with this look. 8220;This length should not be worn with flat shoes,8221; warns designer Gaurav Gupta. Mid and high heels work well with the new length.
