Past record: Trap team gold in Busan Asian Games 2002; Individual bronze in Manchester Commonwealth Games 2002.
Olympic history: Was the only Indian shooter to grab a quota place for Sydney Games. He finished 25th with a score of 109.
Why he didn8217;t get the ticket: Missed several opportunities to earn a quota place in the past year.
What about Beijing: Inshallah, I8217;ll be there. I am over 40 now, but in shooting age is not a factor. I am seriously looking forward to Beijing. I want to give it Olympics a one more try.
A word for the qualifiers: Mansher Singh and Manavjit Sandhu are among the best trap shooters in the world. I8217;ve been practising with them all and I can assure you that they will return with medals from Athens. All they need is a bit of luck.

This is one of the most depressing phase of my life. Last year in August, a week before I got the Arjuna Award, I lost my father. He meant everything to me and after his death, I couldn8217;t concentrate for almost six months. And that was the period I was trying to get the quota berth at the World Championship in Cyprus and World Cup in Italy. My bad form continued in Malaysia this year which was my last chance to earn a berth for Athens. I am extremely disappointed.
