NOVEMBER 23: A Thane resident became the 43rd victim of stone pelting on local trains on Sunday night. Tanaji Rajaram Dhanawade 25, who was travelling to Mulund, was injured on the shoulder when he was hit by a stone hurled at the local between Kanjurmarg and Bhandup at 8 pm. He was admitted to Aditya Nursing Home in Mulund last night, but was shifted to the Mulund General Hospital after he complained of intense pain. A case has been lodged with the Kurla railway police. Sources claim that the demolition of slums in the area had caused a lot of heartburn among the residents recently.
