MUMBAI, MARCH 7: Kishore Gajbaye has been appointed as Thane District Collector today. He replaces Srikant Singh, who was transferred on Friday following violent protests by residents of Bhayander due to acute shortage of water.

Along with Gajbaye appointment, the state government transferred nine bureaucrats as part of Chief Minister Narayan Rane8217;s effort to tone up the administration and expedite development projects, according to Mantralaya sources.

Pune Divisional Commissioner Arun Bhatia was posted as the civic commissioner there replacing Rajiv Aggarwal on Saturday. Aggarwal has been assigned Pune division. Similarly, energy secretary Satish Tripathi and secretary for forests and environment Pramod Dev have switched posts in the reshuffle.

Mukesh Khullar has been transferred as Ahmednagar District Collector. Member secretary of Maharashtra Statutory Board V Rad is the new Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad in place of Mujawar Shaikh. Shaikh has been moved to women and child welfaredepartment.
