NASHIK, Nov 7: The Nashik Court today adjourned the hearing of a defamation suit filed by Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Council, Chhagan Bhujbal, against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray and two others to December 4.

Bhujbal had filed the defamation suit against Thackeray, Sanjay Raut and Subhash Desai 8212; editor, executive editor and publisher, respectively 8212; of the Sena mouthpiece, Saamna, on September 4 in the court of Judicial Magistrate Surendra Tawade. None of the accused appeared in the court today.

Bhujbal has charged Thackeray, Raut and Desai of defaming him by publishing inflammatory reports in Saamna, following the desecration of Dr Ambedkar8217;s statue at Ramabai Nagar, on July 11 and the subsequent affidavit filed by Rajendra Mihilal Agarwal from Shahada, Dhule, that Bhujbal had asked him to desecrate the statue.
