CHANDIGARH, Nov 1: A 10-day NSS training camp organised by the Sector 15 Government Senior Secondary School concluded today.According to camp coordinator S. Lakhbir Singh a pulse polio rally was organised to create awareness among the residents of the area. The pulse polio rally was flagged off by S. Harjot Singh principal of school.Another rally was organised at Dhanas to create awareness among the villagers towards adult literacy programmes. The volunteers taught the villagers to read and write. They also organised an awareness rally for AIDS in Sector 15, which was followed by a lecture on discipline by the school principal. He also stressed the need for organising similar camps in the near future.
