TCS honours teachers

Sangita Gupta, an arts teacher of Study Hall, Lucknow, was one of the finalists of the Tata Consultancy Services and Education World Teacher Awards. Over 18,000 teachers were nominated from across the nation for the awards.

The awards aim to acknowledge innovation in teaching. To motivate students, teachers have begun to employ methods like imparting awareness on biodiversity, environment and social interaction, experimenting with art and dances and even throwing a visit to NASA.

Indrani Singh from ADL Sunshine School of Jamshedpur, and Nomita Roy from Basant Valley School of Gurgaon, bagged the best secondary and primary teacher awards, respectively.
