BANGALORE, OCT 10: Two boys were washed away last night when a tank in Hosadurga Taluk of Chitradurga district in Karnataka breached causing extensive damage to crops.

Chief Minister S M Krishna along with Revenue Minister H Csrikantaiah and revenue officials had left in the morning for an aerial survey of the affected areas.

Police said bodies of both the boys aged 12 and 14 have been recovered.

Most parts of the state have been receiving incessant rains during last few days and in Bellary district, seven people had been killed either due to floods or house collapses.

Crops worth lakhs of rupees have been destroyed in Hosadurga Taluk where two other tanks have also breached. Several tanks in the district were overflowing, according to reports received here.
