Take the lead

The event had the gathering of people from different arenas, from managing directors and chief executive officers of local companies, vice presidents and directors of MNCs, to budding entrepreneurs, AIESEC’s International Exchange participants, University heads and representatives from the education sector, NGO heads and AIESEC Chandigarh’s alumni.

Taking us through the journey, AIESEC members tell us that the student organisation started with a vision of peace, right after the second world war. “But now it has become a social organisation!” comments Vivek Atray whose shares a long association with the organisation. While Harman Singh Sidhu of the NGO Arrive Safe says,” In AIESEC we have found what we were looking for, young enthusiastic people who are not afraid to take charge and make a difference.” Pancham Prashar, AIESEC alumnus adds, “ The learning you get through the organizations more than an MBA, you get wonderful exposure at such an early age that it prepares you well for life. I may have forgotten my school lessons but what I have learnt at AIESEC, I use it everyday!” Robin Aggarwal, the oldest alumnus present at the occasion shares that AIESEC helped him connect with a lot of people, “in times when internet had just happened. It’s a wonderful platform to broaden one’s horizons.” Join in the spirit.
