BSP leader Satish Mishra has a wardrobe stacked with flamboyant ties. What most people have missed is that each of them incorporates the elephant in some pattern or the other. Some friends suggested to Mishra in Parliament House the other day that he should consider patenting them and then export them to the United States. With the US Republican Party sharing the elephant symbol with the BSP, it would be an apt time—presidential polls there are scheduled for November—for these ties to make their way there.
