Arjun Singh made his once-in-a-couple-of-months public appearance in the past week. The occasion was a review of minority education programmes by his Human Resource Development Ministry. The best moment and the answer came when a scribe asked him if he was holding the meeting to re-establish himself as a true champion of minorities. Singh had a candid answer: 8220;Ees dhande mein pachaas saal ho gaye hain8230;ab koi naya motive dhoondhne ki zaroorat nahi hai I have spent 50 years in this profession, now there isn8217;t any need to search for a new motive.8221;
