Students cheated by bogus institute

BANGALORE, May 6: Several students in the city have fallen victim to a bogus institute, going by the name of Universal Institute of Distance Education. The Institute, which had claimed that it was representing such prestigious institutions as the Madurai Kamaraj University, Osmania University, Mysore University and Annamalai University, has disappeared without a trace. The premises it was occupying at Shivajinagar has been vacated.
