Students battle it out at Innovision

At Innovision 8217;08, held at the Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, challenging competitions kept the budding engineers on their toes.

At Innovision 8217;08, held at the Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology NSIT, challenging competitions kept the budding engineers on their toes. Events such as 8216;B-Plan8217; had future planners and corporate leaders presenting proposals for startups in fields as varied as machine technology and agricultural development.

8216;Black Pearl8217;, the motorboat designing competition tested the mechanical skills of competitors. Teams used plastic bottles, lunch boxes, tin cans among other material to prepare their boats.

8216;Robowars8217;, a competition between battery-powered robots created by the students was another highly popular contest. 8216;Junkyard Wars8217; challenged the participants8217; ability to create a functioning model out of scrap. 8216;Admaker8217; tested wacky ways of creating an ad campaign on products like rolling pins, mosquito repellants, toilet cleaners, among others.

The competitions were not limited only to college-goers, 8216;School Bag8217;, a quiz and technical paper presentation saw senior school students from a number of Delhi schools participate.

Another event was the Auto Expo held on the second day. G O D S Group Of Delhi Superbikers burned the tracks with their Hayabusas, Yamahas and YZFs.
