NEW DELHI, October 29: The Delhi unit of the BJP is not only upset about the plum seats they have had to hand over to the allies on a platter but also the confusion over the poll symbol.
The BJP wants the allies 8212; Om Prakash Chautala8217;s Haryana Lok Dal HLD and the Akali Dal Badal 8212; to contest the election on the BJP symbol. 8220;The symbol is a problem. There is going to be confusion in the constituencies if they insist on using their symbols. But it is upto them,8221; said Vijay K Malhotra, chairman of the Delhi BJP Election Campaign Committee.
The demand of ten seats each by the Akali Dal and Chautala8217;s HLD has put the BJP in a fix. 8220;The core committee will take the final decision tomorrow. But we are unlikely to give them more than five to six seats which includes the BJP seats for Sikh candidates,8221; said Malhotra.
The sources to the BJP top brass said that decision has been taken for only two seats, Geeta Colony and Vishnu Garden, both of which will go to Akali Dal.
