Stakes raised for Pune races

In all 1632 horses, including 591 debutants 2 years old, are been trained by 50 trainers. In the fray will be 79 regular jockeys and 11 apprentices.The Pune Derby, sponsored by Nanoli Stud Farm, is to be held on October 11. The other main races are: Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy Aug 2, Fillies Stakes Aug 8, Hotel Natraj Independence Trophy Aug 15, Turf Club Trophy Aug 16, Kehelan Stud Colts Stakes Aug 16, FD Wadia Trophy Aug 23, Rajaram Chhatrapati Trophy Sept 5, ThreptinGeneral Rajendrasinhji Million Sept 6, Southern Command Cup Sept 13, SA Poonawalla Million Sept 20, Eve Champion Trophy Sep 12, Idar Gold Trophy Sept 26, Fillies and Mares Stakes October 3, Herbertsons Bagpiper Gold RWITC Invitational Trophy Oct 31, and the Suresh Mahindra Trophy the longest race 3200m will culiminate the Pune season.
