Sree loses cool over AC, in trouble with BCCI

Controversial fast bowler Sreesanth is in news again, as he got into an argument with hotel staff in Bangalore.

.

The Cricket Board has sought details about the unsavoury happenings involving temperamental pacer S Sreesanth two days ago at a Bangalore hotel where he’s staying while taking part in the BCCI’s camp at the National Cricket Academy.

“We have written letters to the hotel management and Sreesanth asking for details about what exactly happened there. He’s staying there while attending the camp and his room has been booked by us. We would like to know what has happened after reading about the incident in the newspapers,” said BCCI CAO Prof Ratnakar Shetty on Wednesday.

According to hotel sources, Sreesanth, who was involved in ‘slapgate’ with India mate Harbhajan Singh during the Indian Premier League, got into an argument with the staff of the hotel and created a ‘scene’ after complaining of ‘too much noise’ from an air conditioner in his room.

The sources alleged that the Kerala speedster lashed out at the hotel staff after they requested him to bear with them for half an hour to carry out repairs.

He wanted to change the room immediately in the early hours but was told no vacant room was available. A couple of his friends also joined him in arguing with the hotel staff, the hotel sources alleged.

Sreesanth later “patched up” with the hotel staff, they said. Sreesanth is in Bangalore undergoing rehabilitation for his side strain sustained at the fag end of the Indian Premier League that has ruled him out of cricket for the whole of this month.

He has already missed the tri-series in Bangladesh, his place in the team taken up by Manpreet Singh Gony, and is set to miss the June 24-July 6 Asia Cup in Pakistan too.
