PUNE, April 27: Gopal Phadke alongwith six other veteran sportspersons from Pune did the city proud, when they won 12 gold, one silver and four bronze medals in the recently concluded 21st Veteran track and field competition at Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

About 1100 sportspersons participated in the the three-day meet, with Maharashtra part of the Western region, fielding 120 participants, including 13 from Pune.

Results
Women
Anita Kulkarni: Gold in 200m run 30.2 sec and 400m run 1 min. 12 sec.
Kalindi Agashe: Gold in Half Step jump 9.60m and silver in Long Jump 4.11m.
Swati Malwe: Gold in 5000m run 30 min 32 sec, gold in 1500m run 9 min 42 sec, bronze in 400m run 1 min 43 sec.
Sunita Khandagule: Bronze in 5000m run.

Men
Ashok Kale: Gold in half step jump 12.25m.
Hindurao Pisal: Gold in 1500m 4 min 50 sec, Gold in 800m 2 min 16 sec, Gold in 400m 58 sec.
Gopal Phadke: Gold in 100m 14.6.
Shamburaj Deshpande: Bronze in 100m 15.5 sec.
Ramchandra: Gold in 400m 1.59 sec, Gold in 100m 16 sec, bronze in 200m 35 sec.
