If things go as planned, city residents would soon be able to register their complaints at the Panchkula Municipal Council office with just a click of the mouse.
After the online system gets in place in the MC office, not only would complaints be registered online but one could also get complete details about any resident by just entering the house number of the latter.
MC officials, meanwhile, claimed they were planning to hold a meeting with Panchkula DC Rajender Kataria wherein a demonstration of the software prepared by a Delhi-based company would be given. The online system would be implemented only after his approval.

He further added that all MC related complaints could be registered online.
Singal added, 8220;Any objections related to the payment of house tax, marriage registration, death and birth certificates could also be made online. Though the system would take some time before it starts, we plan to arrange a meeting with DC Rajender Kataria in a week8217;s time where the demonstration of the software would be given by the company.8221;
Meanwhile, residents of the city said the overall efficiency of the civic body would increase with the system becoming computerised.
8220;There have been instances when despite several efforts, we found it difficult to get our complaint registered. But with the system becoming online, things would definitely get easier,8221; said Manju Aggarwal, a resident of Sector 12 A.
Similar thoughts were echoed by another resident, Suman Verma of Sector 7, who said the new system would better equip residents as the sector maps put up at the entry points of several sectors are yet to be replaced with the latest ones.
