
Andhra Pradesh police is probing the reported similarities in modus operandi between the bomb blasts at Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad and Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan.
8220;There are some similarities and all these things are being investigated,8221; city Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh said.
He was asked about the reports of similar nature of the explosive material being kept in a lunch box, a SIM card being found near the blast sites at both the places and the explosives being wrapped in a Telugu newspaper.
8220;We are yet to receive full details. It is premature to comment on that now,8221; Singh said.
Meanwhile, a Rajasthan police team headed by a DIG, arrived here to probe the Hyderabad link to the Ajmer Dargah blast.
The Commissioner said the city police would extend full cooperation to Rajasthan police.
Asked about the alleged suspicious role of Syed Saleem, the man from Hyderabad who died in the Ajmer blast, Singh said the city police did not have full details about him.
8220;He is from Tolichowki in Hyderabad. Till now we don8217;t have information about Saleem,8221; he said.
Some electric wires were allegedly found in the clothes Saleem was wearing.
Meanwhile, his mortal remains were buried by his family members in the day.
Saleem, the eldest in a family of seven brothers, had settled in Ajmer eight years ago where he was running a shop.
