There were three fourth place finishers in Jincy Phillips 400m, Madhuri Saxena 1,500m, Anuradha Biswal 100m hurdles and Harwant Kaur discus. Today the Indian camp also conducted trials to pick two women runners for the 4x400m relay.

Paes-Bhupathi enter final
Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes will clash with South Korean pair of Chung H S and Lee H T in the men8217;s doubles final. The Indian duo beat South Koreans of Kim Dong-Hyun and Kwon Oh-Hee 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 but another Indian pair in the semis, Vishal Uppal and Mustafa Ghouse, lost in the straight sets.
India spike Pak
India thrashed Pakistan 3-0 in their last league match in volleyball. It was an inconsequential match as the both teams were not in medal contention.
Gopi wins
Gopichand blanked Francsis Coyong of East Timor 15-0, 15-0 in the first round while Abhinn Shyam Gupta lost to World Champion Hendrawan of Indonesia in straight games 5-15, 5-15.
