Fine all-round performance by India Under-19 cricketer Virender Sehwag 134 and 2 for 33 enabled Shonazia beat New Diamond by 18 runs in the final of seventh Mirza Ahmed Ali memorial tournament at the Anglo Arabic Senior Secondary School, Ajmeri Gate. Sehwag struck 14 sixes and three fours in his knock. He was declared the man of the match as well as the man of the tournament.

Shonazia: 279 for 6 Virender Sehwag 134, Rajesh Mahajan 34, Sandeep Angurala 3 for 53, Sanjay Gill 2 for 42.

New Diamond: 261 Devashish Kaushik 60, Akash Malhotra 48, Brijesh Roy 56, Mahesh Bhatti 3 for 62, Virender Sehwag 2 for 33, Mohd Haroon 2 for 36.

Chand advance
Chand Khanna entered the semifinals of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan memorial tournament when they beat Aligarh Cricket Association by 82 runs at Aligarh. They will take on Sonnet in their next game.
