
Solanki stars in DS Group win
An unbeaten 65 by Jeetender Solanki helped Dharam Pal-Satya Pal Group beat Blue Star Club by five wickets in the IInd Lala Hari Ram Aggarwal Memorial day-night cricket tournament at the MCD Sports Club ground here today.
Solanki smashed eight fours and two sixes in his whirlwind effort. Batting first, Blue Star totalled 155 for eight in 30 overs, with Rajeev Chanda leading the way with 35. In reply, Solanki was aided in the run chase by Pankaj Thakur who remained unbeaten on 24.

Batting first, Philips India were bundled out for 104 in 27 overs thanks to Roy8217;s haul of four for 20. In reply, Sahara Airlines raced to the target in 15.5 overs with Vikas Chandan chipping in with an unbeaten 32.

ASC Centre South defeated their counterparts from North 52-47 in the final of the seventh Director General of Supplies and Transport Basketball Championship in the floodlit stadium of 629 Transport Company ASC, Delhi Cantonment. Bhagwan Yadav top-scored for the winners with 15 points while Herojit Singh got 14. Pushpender scored 12 points for ASC North. Lt Gen J S Bhatnagar, Senior Colonel Commandant, gave away the prizes.
