Deepak, Yashpal’s tons in Haryana Veterans’ win
A brillaint 111 runs by Deepak Sharma and 109 by former Test player Yashpal Sharma came handy in Haryana State Veterans win against Delhi State Veterans in the Veteran Cricket Board match for National Championship.

Haryana Veterans won by 70 runs at a match played at Faridabad on Sunday.

Batting first, Haryana Veterans piled up 313 at the loss of four wickets in alloted 40 overs. Yashpal’s century had a dozen boundaries and three hits over the ropes while Deepak’s 111 included fourteen boundaries. Deepak’s feat earned him the Man of the Match award. Rakesh Jolly contributed with 53 runs to consolidate Haryana’s total. Among Delhi bowlers, Hari Gidwani claimed two giving 50 runs.

Chasing the target, Delhi Veterans could manage 243 runs for six wickets in the alloted time. Sunil Khanna (63) and Hari Gidwani (59) were the main contributors for Delhi.

Next match between Punjab State Veterans and Indian Railways Veterans will be played on March 14 at Railway Sports Stadium.
