Oh my God! This is unbelievable
France exploded into a giant street party early today, recalling scenes from the 1944 Liberation, as the entire country celebrated its 3-0 victory over Brazil in the World Cup final. Brazilians despondent
Brazilians wept when France crushed Brazil 3-0 in the World Cup final last night, a defeat that hit hard where there is little but soccer to boost national pride. On Rio de Janeiro8217;s famous Copacabana Beach hundreds of people clung to each other in pouring rain and sobbed uncontrollably, while others drifted away as if shellshocked. 8220;This is a sad day,8221; said Aveloino Pereira, his eyes red from crying.

Jeev8217;s disaster
India8217;s Jeev Milkha Singh left himself a huge mountain to climb in the second and final round of The Open Championships qualifying tomorrow after a disastrous triple bogey on the 14th hole of West Lancashire Golf Club in the north west of England. Jeev finished with a three over par 75, six shots off the lead. Five other players managed to shoot beneath the card with a further 33 still to finish their rounds.

King of France8217;
Algerian newspapers crowned Zinedine Zidane King of France8217; on Monday after his two goals helped France to victory in the World Cup final. 8220;Zidane was dazzling,8221; said daily El Watan.
