The Rocklanders SC’s first Rink football tournament will be held at the St Francis D’Assisi school ground from September 12 onwards.

The top five clubs of Goa will lock horns in an uniquely designed Directors Special Professional League, which kicks off on September 7 at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda Goa.

Newly promoted MPT Sports Club will vie with Salgaocar, Vasco SC, Churchill Bros SC and Dempo SC.

Each club will receive Rs 50,000 each as participation fee and the winner will get Rs 1 lakh as cash prize besides the trophy. The runners-up will be richer by Rs 50,000 and the fair play trophy winners, Rs 10,000.

The team finishing last will have to play a two-match play-off with the team finishing second in the DSP First Division League. The winner will play in the DSP Professional League next year.
