
Baba Ganpati Sewa Sangh today took out a Shobha Yatra to mark the Ganesh Utsav. The shobha yatra started from the Industrial Area-A in the afternoon and passed through Chowk Soofian, Kidwai nagar, Benzamin Road, Mata Vaishno Devi Chowk, Chauri Sadak, Ghas Mandi and Chaura Bazar before culminating at Clock Tower.
108 idols of Lord Ganesh 8212; one of them was a huge one which towered over others 8212; were taken around in the Yatra. Late in the evening, the idols were immersed in the Satluj, near Phillaur.
Harish Bedi, President, Purshotam Mittal, Chairman, Bhagat Ram Handa Chief Advisor and Heera Lal Goel, General Secretary of the Baba Ganpati Sewa Sangh led the shobha yatra. A large number of devotees participated in Yatra.
