
AMBALA, April 26: Haryana State Legal Services Authority executive chairman Justice V. K. Bali of the Punjab and Haryana High Court has urged the police personnel to decide the cases at their own level through compromise, in order to help minimise court cases. He was speaking after the inauguration of a lok adalat at the District Session8217;s compound, on Saturday. He also advised the lawyers to work toward quick dispensation of justice.
Justice Bali disclosed that cases relating to bank loans would also be decided at the lok adalat besides those concerned with road accidents. Authority member secretary, District and Sessions Judge Navab Singh, said that all the police stations in the state had been directed to provide copies of FIR and other matters to the applicants on payment of the required fee.
On Saturday, the lok adalat decided 170 cases, including 19 cases regarding bank loans and 45 cases of road accidents, besides 83 summary trial cases.
