Seth, Chandra win Crossword awards

Vikram Seth Two Lives and Vikram Chandra Sacred Games were declared winners in two of the top categories at the Hutch Crossword Book Award 2006 function in Mumbai on Wednesday night. Chandra beat Man Booker Prize winner Kiran Desai to bag the Rs 3 lakh prize in the English Fiction category. Seth won in the English Non-Fiction category. Desai8217;s The Inheritance of Loss bagged the most popular book award, based on readers8217; SMSes.
