Sensex ends 438 points lower

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex ended down by 438.41 points at 17,559.98 on sustained selling by funds.

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex ended down by 438.41 points at 17,559.98 on Friday on sustained selling by funds.

The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also tumbled by 135.70 points to close at 5215.30.
