
MAHABALESHWAR, Sept 29: A three day Residential Refresher Course and Seminar organised by the Tax Advocates Association, Gujarat, concluded on Tuesday at Mahabaleshawar. Addressing the participants, J M Mehra, chief commissioner of income tax department, Pune, said that as tax collectors they were the life blood of the nation. 8220;To gear up for future challenges, we must devote time to the study of comparative tax reforms and structures. This is imperative as the country stands on the threshold of the globalisation of national economies which will bring in intense competition.8221;
