PUNE, May 15: The organisers of `Penn-in-India,’ a six-week annual academic programme of the University of Pennsylvania and hosted by University of Pune, are looking for families which are interested in hosting an American student during the course of the programme.

The American students will be put up with their Indian hosts in Pune for six weeks between June 26 and August 6, giving them direct exposure to the Indian life style. Staying with an Indian family has been a major component of the now four-year-old programme, field director for Penn-in-India 98 Prashant Kothadiya said today.

Interested families residing in Aundh, Baner Road, University Road, Gokhale Cross Road, Model Colony, F C Road, Prabhat Road, Bhandarkar Road, Law College Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Karve Road, Deccan Gymkhana and Apte Road should write to Kothadiya with profiles of their families at `Anand’, 108/36 Bharati Niwas Society, Erandwane, Pune 411 004 by May 23.

The organisers have invited applications from Indian students wishing to participate the programme. Every year two Indian undergraduates, in the age group of 18 to 22 years, share the programme with the Penn students. The interested students should forward their application along with a 350 words write-up on why they are interested in the Penn-India programme to Kothadiya.
