SDO caught taking bribe

SAS NAGAR, SEP 14: A Sub-Divisonal engineer of PWD and Bamp;R, Punjab Amardeep Singh was caught by the Vigilance Department for accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 from a contractor.

According to police sources, on a tip off , the Vigilance department laid a trap and caught the PWD official red-handed. Amardeep, resident of Phase IV, was working in the local office. He has been arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. by the Vigilance Department
