CHANDIGARH, June 8: Punjab Civil Medical Services Association staged a dharna in front of the office of Director, Research and Medical Education, Punjab, here today, in support of their demands.
They are demanding the scrapping of recently introduced criteria of 50 per cent qualifying marks in the post graduation entrance test for admissions to various post graduate courses in the state medical colleges.
They further alleged that it will be discrimination against the in-service as well as the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Only 25 of the PCMS candidates will be admitted against the 114 seats under 60 per cent quota, said Dr D.C. Sharma, general secretary, PCMSA in a press release, here today.
