Haldia, April 29: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) edged past fancied Border Security Force (BSF) by a solitary goal to annex the championship crown of the Second Division National Football League today.SBT went ahead with a powerful left footer by VP Shaji from outside the penalty box in the 61st minute of the game which gave no chance to the BSF defence to react.The SBT forward line created a number of moves in an one-sided match. Ashis Saheer of SBT squandered a chance off a pass by S Ignatius in the second minute of the match.Besides Ignatius, Saheer, Saji and Prajeer created a number of openings in both half.BSF, which was off-colour today, sorely missed the services of striker Gouranga Paul who had to sit out in today's match after being shown the red card in the April 25 against Bengal Mumbai Football Club.BSF had reached the final with a victory over BMFC by a solitary goal while State Bank of Travancore pipped Tata Football Academy (TFA) 2-1.
