
Sania Mirza will launch her campaign against Gisela Dulko of Argentina in the USD 2,340,000 prize money WTA Kremlin Cup begining tomorrow in Moscow.
The 29th ranked Sania, who appears to be in good form making it to the quarterfinals of the Japan Open last week, would like to avenge her previous two defeats to the Argentine 8212; in French Open in 2005 and in a Tier III event in Pattaya City in February this year 8212; when they face-off in the opening round of the Tier I event.
Dulko, who is ranked 40 on the WTA computers and has only two WTA singles title to her credit so far, had climbed to her career-best ranking of 26 in November, 2005.
The high-profile event has Svetlana Kuznetsova as the top seed while Maria Sharapova is the second seed. They are followed by Anna Chakvetadze of Australia and Serena Williams of America on the third and fourth seeedings in the field of 32.
