MUMBAI, JULY 12: Sangeeta Chandorkar won the Kamal Satchidanand Jeet Rolling Trophy at the 37th Open District Carrom Tournament co-sponsored by Philips India, Colgate Palmolive, Indian Oil, LIC, Union Bank of India, Saraswat Bank at the Vanmali Hall, Dadar today.

In the ladies single final Sangeeta overcame a stiff challenge by Manisha Nagaokar to prevail 25-19, 20-25, 25-8.

Parini Nirmala beat Anupam Kedar 25-23, 25-11 to win the third place. Shailesh Rathod won the sub-junior boys title. In the final he outplayed Roshan Kagrolkar 10-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Jitender Rathod took the third place with a 25-18, 17-25, 25-20 win over Sagar Govilkar.

Goaless draw

Algerian-French artist Hanan Benammar's linocut prints were vandalised by two artists at an international exhibition in Kochi. The exhibition, curated by Anushka Rajendran and Damian Christinger, was organised by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi and opened on October 18.
