Police have located two of the four key witnesses reported missing, and hence not available for deposition, in the hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan. The duo would depose before a magistrate in the trial on June 29, police sources said on Sunday.

They are considered important witnesses by the prosecution as they were sleeping on the pavement when the actor rammed his car into a bakery on September 28, 2002 in suburban Bandra, killing one person and injuring four, including the two witnesses. According to the prosecution, the duo had seen Salman get down from the driver’s seat of the car. The two witnesses were employees of the bakery. After the mishap, they had left their job and had been untraceable so far. The police have finally located them and asked them to depose in the case.
