
Students of Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School, Sarabha Nagar, on Thursday enthralled the audience on the second day of the school8217;s four-day annual function. Brig P.R. Deshpande, army station commander, was the chief guest in the morning function.
The students of class IV performed different cultural items and displayed their talent. They thanked their parents through a melody. The youngsters enacted an English play 8220;Bold and the beautiful8221; conveying the message to the masses that humility went a long way and it was one8217;s conduct that was responsible for one8217;s destiny. The synchronised action song 8220;Synergy8221; was addressed to the parents to let their children grow and bloom.
Jose Paul, an educational consultant, advised the parents to identify their child8217;s potential and motivate him or her to aim high on life. The youngsters displayed their acrobatic ability in 8220;Skills and drills,8221; a performance in gymnastics.
Brig P.R. Deshpande said, 8220;Children are more energetic and better visionaries than parents. Listen to them and prize their words.8221; He congratulated the meritorious students of class X and awarded them with trophies and certificates. The programme ended with an appreciation of the Indian culture even as a colourful folk dance 8220;Dandiya8221; was presented by the students.
The evening show was hosted by the students of class VIII. Priyank Bharti, additional deputy commissioner, was the chief guest. Dressed up in colourful costumes, the children entertained parents as well as guests. A play 8220;Mother8217;s Day8221; very aptly depicted the role that a mother plays in every family but is not shown any gratitude. It was a straight message for the family members to recognize the efforts of a mother, who builds a family with her love and care.
While 8220;Unity in diversity8221; showcased the fusion of Indian folk dances 8212; Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Punjabi and Gujarati dances 8212; in a perfect blend, vibrant costumes and synchronized steps made it a breath-taking performance. A dance drama, 8220;Sarvdharm Sukham,8221; was also appreciated by all.
