Mumbai/London, July 29: Sachin Tendulkar, who was to lead Asia XI against Rest of the World in a charity match at the Oval in London on Saturday, backed out due to sudden bout of chicken pox. Pakistan8217;s Wasim Akram was named the captain.

Meanhile, Saqlain Mushtaq of Pakistan led the demolition squad for the Asian XI as the Rest of the World XI were restricted to 219 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs.

Nathan Astle 51 of New Zealand and Nasser Hussain 45 of England were the only prominent scorers for the Rest of the World XI as the other batsmen submitted meekly to the spin of Saqlain 4/45 and India8217;s Nikhil Chopra 2/37.
