Robbery at Hanjur Nagar

A Co-operative Credit Society was robbed on Monday afternoon by four men, in the Andheri pump house area. The incident occurred at 2:30 in the afternoon. The men forced an entry into the office of Datta-Digambar Co-operative Credit Society in Hanjur Nagar. They tied Rajaram Pawar43 a collection agent for the society and one Vishnu Dhonde 45 and Sopan Supde 28 . The robbers fled with Rs 1,03,140 in cash. A case of robbery has been registered at the MIDC police station. Senior police inspector Pradeep Sonawane, MIDC police station said, 8220;Even if they were threatened with a knife they could have made some noise as the thieves left.8221; He added, 8220;Only their hands were tied not their legs. It is surprising they didnt shout as this is a crowded area.8221;
