The sun sure is shining on Tin Can. The city based 8220;youth group8221;, it seems, is making all the right noises. After being signed on by Anjan Dutta for his forthcoming film, the group will now have the distinction of being the first theatre group from Kolkata to participate in Thespo, the annual youth theatre festival that is held in Mumbai every year. 8220;We seem to be reaping the fruits of all the hard work,8221; beams Soumyak Kanti De Biswas of Tin Can. Video, Tin Can8217;s second production will be the closing play of the festival, which starts next week. 8220;We are excited about performing at the Prithvi theatre. It8217;s a hallowed site for theatre lovers of the country,8221; adds Biswas.
Since the play deals with migrant politics of the city, Video, hopes Kanti, will strike a chord with Mumbaikars. 8220;We talk about Bihari migrant workers in the play. It is, in a way, an attempt to understand them,8221; says Kanti.
