MOSCOW, DECember 13: A Russian bomber was downed on Monday by rebel Chechen anti-air defences, Interfax news agency said quoting federal military sources. The pilot managed to eject from the aircraft and an operation is underway to recover him, sources added, not revealing where the plane was downed and if the pilot had parachuted into Chechen-held territory.
